Your steak just got a lot sexier

Surprisingly not the newest residence of journeyman light welterweight DeMarcus "Chop Chop" Corley, Chophouse Miami Bistro & Lounge was just taken over by Chef Jacques Van Staden, who brought in his chef brother to totally revamp the Biscayne meat-ery into more of a swank hang-out, and less of a strict steakhouse, because you can't ground steak every time it gets sauced.

They haven't touched the 60-seat outdoor water-view patio, but in an effort to deliver more of a "nightlife feel", the front room has been transformed into an intimate black-walled lounge housing white leather couches, both a full bar bar and sushi bar (which'll eventually be rollin' late-night), a cigars station, and a wall-full of wine-dispensing machines doling out tastes/glasses of anything from Cabs to Barolos. Meanwhile, the main dining room has swapped in a plethora of pinatas dim hanging red lanterns and earthy oil paintings, while removing the columns' cowhide, because when your ass is that huge, who do you think you're fooling?

The entire menu's brand spankin' new, starting with tapas like truffle BBQ sauce-coated spiced pork confit and lamb sausage flatbread, before moving into mains such as massive seafood towers, 2lb lobsters, 20oz Porterhouses, and a crispy shallot-topped filet slapped on a cutting board lined with four mini-jars of sides (truffle smash, mac 'n cheese…), and known as the "ChopBlock", so you'll feel like you're eating at Glenn Dorsey-a.

They'll also be launching a Sunday brunch buffet on Nov 20th that'll include Butch baby pancakes and Smorgass-Boards like whitefish-jalapeno dip/smoked mussels/tomato, plus all-you-can-drink mimosas and Bloody Marys, and if you've ever been to an all-you-can-drink before, you know you'll have to be prepared to tell your waiter "chop chop!"
