From slinging produce to slinging pints

A usual day at Reading Terminal nets quotes like "What am I doing here?", "No ma'am, the duck tours are that way", "No, seriously, what am I doing here?!", and "Wow, these duck tours will drive anyone to drink". Helping you out with that last one, Molly Malloy's.

Now getting all alliterative near the Spice Terminal, MM's a mom-named Irish gastropub from the guys behind Iovine Bros. Produce, who've re-thought the former Beer Garden station via a wall-swallowing lunch counter, a gigantic wooden bar dominating the center, and industrial pendant lighting fitted with old-school bare bulbs, not to be confused with bear bulbs, which will only light you up if you camp out too long. Emerald Isle-ish starters roll with butternut squash croquettes w/ spiced pear butter, sammies like braised oxtail w/ carrot ketchup, and roasted pork belly w/ an apple & onion compote, plus mains including braised short rib pie filled w/ a carrot/ onion/ stout reduction, and Irish beef stew described as "hearty as hell, and made with Guinness" -- but don't listen to him, this is the lunch you're looking for. On the pub side, 24 taps pour rotating crafts including Lancaster Milk Stout & Shoo-Fly Porter; the bottle list includes Harpoon UFO and Great Lakes Eliot Ness; and they're slingin' custom 'tails like the homemade apple vodka/ cider/ ginger ale French Apple Cobbler, though it being France, he's probably out on strike, and not making shoes out of fruit.

If you're up for a mid-morning brew, high-five yourself in the mirror, then head to MM for that and a Farmer's Platter of eggs, hog, and home fries in caramelized onions & paprika, plus pumpkin pancakes, getting you primed for a day in the market when you can...no ma'am, THAT way.
