The temp is right morning, noon, and night

In business, there comes a point at which you need to shake things up, unless of course your business is babysitting. Shaking it much like one would a Polaroid picture, the Ritz-Carlton Georgetown, with Degrees Bistro.

The Ritz has installed a French-inspired, AM-to-AM spot in the old Bar & Lounge area, which they've decked out with classic bistro tables and banquette seating for 46, a fresh dining space made necessary by their conversion of the old restaurant to the new “Fahrenheit Ballroom”, where hopefully the thermostat will always be set to “It’s getting hot in herre”. The overhauled menu, in a nutshell:

Lunch, Breakfast if You Swing That Way: Midday afternoon-killers run from their signature burger (w/ foie gras, brie, a quail egg & Parmesan truffle fries!) to Chesapeake striped bass pistou; or rise early for banana compote & caramel sauce French toast or the 3-egg + tons-of-other-stuff “Georgetown Breakfast”, so you don't kick off every day Baked and Wired.

Dinner: Baked-cheddar macaroni with grilled asparagus, scallions, and a tomato fondue? Yeah, you fat bastard! Or be somewhat responsible with the Tuna au Poivre or Chicken Grand Mere, which unlike "Chicken Grand Meme” isn't all about hitting that tetrazzini.

Le Booze & Bar Bites: 'Til 1a, snack on Chesapeake Bay crab-cake sliders and fire-roasted sweet chili wings while daintily guzzling the Agave Margarita, the rye-addled State of the Sazerac, a host of martinis, and a Champagne concoction called Bubbly Passion -- control your own, or very soon there'll come a point at which finding a non-shaky babysitter will be serious business indeed.
