The Shore Club crowd swindle their way into the East Village

As you get older, you tend to want to do more mature things, like going to dinner parties, and banging Ben Grimm at said dinner parties. For a second offering from the Shore Club dudes that's even Fantastic for non-PBers, scope Bootlegger.

From the guys behind the best place in PB to race goldfish, Boot's a sparkly new East Village boozery posted up on a corner with wraparound sidewalk seating, epoxy'd reclaimed barn door tables, buckshot-shredded corrugated metal sheeting sheltering the hall, and bare-chested pin-ups in the john. Not content with tapping just beer, they're bolstering their full complement of liquors with four booze taps, currently spewing ice-cold Fernet and Tito's Handmade Vodka, alongside 32 brew taps ranging from far-away crafts like Deschutes Black Butte to locals like Hop Head Red by Green Flash, who is just like the normal Flash except he's super-good about composting. Foodwise, they've got categories like Large Plates (the porcini Bolognese, Irish cheddar, and caramelized onion “Sloppy Giuseppe”), and TV Dinners like the beer battered chicken n' waffles with caramel shallot butter, maple gastrique, and fried sage, which is probably not as smart as it makes itself out to be.

Proving that just because they're older doesn't mean they'll start hitting the hay all early, they'll also be rocking served-til-midnight small plates from a Thick Cut Bacon Steak to Pomme Frites Poutine with wild 'shroom gravy, though significantly less wild than the type that starts making you see Invisible Women.
