Upscale Mexican in the South End

Opening tomorrow in the SE's former Siraj Cafe, the latest addition to the Hub's upscale Mexican scene rocks an authentic (as in, from a Hermosillo-born chef/owner) lineup including red-sauced enchilada/skirt steak with guac; shrimp & rice in a creamy chipotle sauce; and six types of tacos (pork loin w/ pineapple, grilled steak w/ refried beans, etc), all washed down with a healthy selection of Mexican cerveza like Tecate, Pacifico, and Sol. Everything's served in festive, 45-seat, SoBo-styled (...South of the Border, it's spreading like wildfire) digs, with a rustic brick/dark wood vibe accented by colorful art, plus brown leather couches & ottomans, the latter of which they probably got at KeBob's Furniture.
