Detroit Restaurant Week kicks off Thursday, which means that over the next 10 days, you can get specialty three-course meals for $30 from participating joints like Cliff Bell’s, Coach Insignia, Roast, The Whitney, and at least 15 more. Friday, April 11th: If you’re looking to get REAL fancy this weekend, Certified Master Chef Milos Cihelka, along with a group of a dozen of Detroit’s finest chefs, is putting together a celebrity chefs dinner at the Detroit Athletic Club. Friday, April 11th: To hear banjos, mandolins, fiddles, and other terrific down-home, feel-good instruments, head to the Royal Oak Farmers Market for the Gardenia Bluegrass & Roots Festival. The stage will be shared by Keller & the Keels, The Ragbirds, Catfish Mafia, and the Crane Wives.


Spring Fling Burlesque Festival

Saturday, April 12th: It’s called the Spring Fling Burlesque Festival and it’s a mixture of jazz and… sure enough, burlesque dancers. It’s happening at the Elizabeth Theatre at the Park Bar and they're promising a night of "flirting, frolicking, and a variety of fabulousness." Also, breasts. Grab your tickets here
